Monique and boyfriend Brian
Getting her 50.00 Target giftcard.

Sweet 16!

Our campfire
The boys putting their tent up.

The girls putting their tent up...
We had a wonderful time in the Dells..We had no problems with the tents..well alright, we had a small problem. But fixed it with no
We set up camp and then hit the local Walmart..We left the store with a cart full of food and things that we either forgot or needed..
It was a blast. We went to the water park. OMG...I went down the VERY LARGE water slide..with my daughter and niece..
I think I have done more new things in the last few weeks than I have done in a year.
We went on the and water vehicles that were used in world war 2..The kids hadn't been on them before, so it was nice to experience it with them..
We did water jets that none of us had done before.
We cooked macaroni and cheese on the campfire,(turned out pretty darn good), we made a breakfast of french toast and sausage on the campfire..
We made it thru a rain storm without
I had a few problems with the girl that I had trained (and paid 25.oo out of my pocket) to cover for me that week-end..Having to wake up and call her to make sure she was getting to the jobs..
So much for relaxing where that was concerned..She will no longer be my fill-in..
We had a nice time. It was great to get away and relax. We do plan on doing some more camping this summer. But we will probably make it closer to home. No waterparks, just
As of last Thursday, my injured worker, Gary, is back on the job....YeeHa....I am so darned happy...
I no longer have to get up at 5 in the morning to go 23 miles to do his job..I no longer have to go back into town two nights a week to cover his other job..
Just in these last few days, I am already feeling so much better..
Because one of his jobs is 7 days a week, I wasn't able to have my little grandkids over.
So, this week-end, I was finally able to have Cameron over.
We had a nice time. We went to Greekfest. It was a blast. He saw the rides and points to the big ones...That's what he wanted to go on..I told him that I wasn't sure about that..He told me that he had never been on the big rides...I finally decided to give it a try..He did better than Monique and I
We went on a couple more of the larger rides..He did great. I told his mom about it and she said that she had also been afraid to take him on the big rides..I told her not to worry
Yesterday, my daughter and I went to Summerfest for a while..We had a nice time. Enjoyed some good food..Walked around listening to some music and enjoyed the lakefront. They have done a great job of fixing it up and restoring the area.
Tomorrow will be back to what should be a normal routine..Keeping fingers crossed

Wow! I can't believe how long it has been since I have made an entry......
My uncle passed away the day after my last entry. His son was able to make it down there to see him. Although I'm not sure my uncle could acknowledge his presence.
My cousin is doing better, but still not out of the woods..
We welcomed little Austin to the United States..My bosses son from Guatemala. He is adorable. Very tiny for his age. He is adjusting very well. He has a ton of smiles:) When I went to the office I took a bottle of bubbles with me. He liked that. He wouldn't get to right by his daddy..And I must say, my boss is right at home with a little one on his lap.
Isn't it funny how it can all seem so new, yet once we have them, it seems like they have always been a part of us..
My granddaughter turns 16 on Sunday. Where did that time go? She wanted to do a camping trip..Soooo, that is what we are doing. I am in the process of training someone to take over for me for a few days so I can go without having to worry about someone calling in sick..
I have one employee that is on restricted duty. So, although he can work, it is limited. He works 7 days a week at one of the restaurants. I have been going into town everynight to do the heavy work...UGH...He goes to the doctor today. I hope he gets a full release. It's been 3 weeks now. He had been diagnosed with a strained back muscle.. He made the comment last night that maybe the doctor would get him into a 6 month program to strenghten his back..Oh no. I told him that I wouldn't be covering his job for 6 months...I will replace him and then find him other work when he can return full time...
The problem I am having with this whole thing is, he has major back problems that he has had for some time. I don't want him to think that he can try to turn this into something that will help take care of those issues..He doesn't have health insurance.
I have to drive 46 miles round trip to help him with this job. And then come home and shower and get ready for My job...Too much.
So, needless to say. I am sooooo looking forward to getting away for the week-end. I plan on doing some swimming at the water park. Walking the main drag at the Dells and doing a lot of sitting around the fire...Humm,,,if we can keep one
I bought a tent that has three rooms...For the girls, and then a smaller tent for the boys..
I bought a lantern, a pump for my air mattress and water proof
We are going to buy some of our food up there. There is a Walmart about a mile away. So, anything we forget, we can get there..
I finally got all of the books, newpapers and bills off of my bed. They made it to the
I hope to get it all organized today..
I've done two loads of wash and half of the dishes in the sink..
Maybe I've been on the laptop too long...
I went to the government health insurance sight.. I make exactly $100.00 dollars too much to qualify...So, if I didn't recieve the 100.00 for my gas allowance, I would be able to get the coverage...That's about my luck sometimes...
That's it for now..Hope all is well with everyone.

Thank you so much for your good thoughts and prayers. I do appreciate it. I haven't gotten any more news..So, I'll go with, no news is good news.

I keep my personal cell phone in the living room when I go to bed at night. It sits on a table by my front window..
I had just gone to bed last night when I heard it I was talking to my daughter, I noticed that the moon was straight ahead..Then I noticed something strange..the light that it was giving off created a cross that covered the front of it..The points sticking out from the moon.I thought maybe the glass from the window was distorting it somehow, so I opened the window to look. It was still there.
I told my daughter that maybe it was an sign of some sort..Under the circumstances I assumed it was a sign of something sad...

Now I would like to believe that it was a sign of something good about to happen.
This morning I went to the office and low and behold, my boss told me that he and his wife are leaving for Guatemala tomorrow to get their son. The have been going thru the adoption process for about 1 1/2 years...Austin is coming home.....
God showed me a sign last night. He is Awesome. Praise God for letting this family come together at last.

I'm off to buy a little motorized vehicle for'm sure his daddy will have plenty of fun showing him how to ride it....

Thank you again for your prayers..
