One of the Vegas hotels..
This is where we had the awesome breakfast...
My daughter on Freemont Street...

Lol...I'm all decked out for St. Paddy's Day...

My daughter and I had a blast in Vegas..the funny thing is, we were looking forward to sunny warm weather...HA...we had rain one day, terrible wind the next and cool weather the rest of the time..It was actually warmer here at home than, with all of the walking that we did, it was probably better to have the cooler weather..

We got all dressed up in green for St. Patricks we were back at the hotel and in bed by we aren't the party people that we once were..

We went to see the Titanic Exhibit...totally awesome..So touching..they even had an ice berg..I did buy one of the replica plates that were used on the ship. I haven't taken a picture of it yet. but I will..

We also went to see the Bodies Exhibit..REAL bodies in all stages of life..This was not my favorite thing..We did rush through this one..Some of it was interesting, but most of it just kind of grossed us out..

We had the best breakfast at one of the bars on the strip..Breakfast potato skins...Yummy...

We went down to Freemont Street..Had a lot of fun down there...Years ago when I was down in that area, I was not impressed and actually found it a bit scary....Now,,it is just a fun place to be...lots of free entertainment..
We zip daughter screamed the whole't know why, it wasn't the least bit scary...

We had a lay over in Missouri..It was very windy and we had a very rough landing..I do okay with that sort of thing..My daughter? not so gets really nervous...
Take off from there wasn't too bad..

When we got back to the airport, we realized that we weren't sure where our car was..LOL...that has never happened to me before..
I went round and round looking for it on the different levels..Finally my daughter went to security and they can do a search from their office..she found it right away..(after I walked around for 45 minutes)

My bosses wife did tell me this morning that they really missed me and what I handle...that was nice to hear..but I'm still going to get my resume together to look for something else...I think it's just time to move on..
I don't want to manage a bunch of people that don't really care for their jobs..I want to go to work, do my job and go home....with NO phone calls from

Well, that's it for now..I'm going to try to get some pictures uploaded here and then think about getting ready for work:)

I Bought a new car!!!!!

This is the first step in my being able to go out and look for a job that won't suck the life out of

It has been nothing but one problem after another with work..I have one lady out sick..and I think she's REALLY sick..some extra prayers for her would be more than welcome..She is only in her mid fifties and they think she has been having small strokes..I haven't heard from her or her daughter since last Saturday so I haven't had an update.
She cleans one of our fancier restaurants 7 days a week and is the MOST dependable person we have working for us..

One of the other cleaners quit without notice..He was doing one of my banks three days a week and one restaurant seven days a week..So, needless to say, it has been hectic once again..

I am in the process of training a new guy to manage all of the restaurants. We do have another guy giving us a hand helping cover all of the jobs..but I'm still up at night clocking people in..and helping get these jobs done..

I did give the new guy the phone and keys this morning..So at least he is on his way to relieving me of being up all night:) I CAN'T

In the meantime, I am trying to set things in motion to get a new job..I know that they're scarce right now..but a few of my workers have recently found decent employment..without having to give up week-ends..
That's what I want...some down time from all of the craziness...

Camerons birthday was on Tuesday..He turned 9...can't believe he is 9 already..They grow up so darned fast..
I called him to wish him happy birthday...he sounded a little distant, confused..something just didn't seem right..
Well, after we talked, his mom sent me a text saying that he thought he was talking to Abuelita, but the phone had said the little ones don't always realize that grandma's actually have

One week from tomorrow, my daughter and I leave for VEGAS...I am so looking forward to it..I love spending time with my grandkids...but I'll tell you, I'm Really looking forward to having some adult time:)

Because we are getting the on St. Paddy's day, we have lots of green to take along..I have a green hat, beads, a green t-shirt that says "Gold Digger" and a sash that says " Irish whiskey makes me frisky"...
Looking to have a great time:)

Now it's time for me to get ready and go to work..I have to train at one of my banks...

I hope everyone has a great week-end:)

Good Morning!!

Once again, it's been a while since I have made an do spend time reading blogs, just not updating my own..

We have been so blessed with a mild winter..We did have a wet, heavy snow last night..I was lucky enough to be able to stay home and enjoy the beauty of it. Thank goodness. I Really don't like to drive during the actual storm..

My daughter (Shannon) and I have made our arrangements to go to VEGAS...We leave on Saturday March she made the arrangements she didn't realize it was St. Patrick's Day...SO, it should be interesting to say the
I bought a green t-shirt that says, "Gold Digger" on still has to find a shirt..We are going to get the green beads but I'm going to the dollar store for those..
This will be our first trip by ourselves..and I know we will have a ton of fun..
My dear daughter is planning on going on the rides again at the Stratosphere...Have you seen those rides? lol..we did them last time we were out there..and they are'm not sure I'll tempt fate again...

We are renting a car. So we will be able to get around better and won't be confined to just doing the typical casino thing..She's young, she doesn't mind doing the

Work has been crazy...but then that's not new..As far as the restaurants go, all but one are in pretty good shape..I've been working with our cleaner at the one to try to get her to keep things looking good. I have started using documented verbal warnings and written warnings..she has received one of each for different things..We'll see if that prompts her to do a better job..
Until recently, we were WAY to laid back..we didn't document things and therefore when people were let go, they would win their unemployment hearings..I have been telling my boss for months that we need to "document" everything...finally that is happening.

I am shooting for training the new night supervisor next week:) I so need to be done with these hours..and hopefully he will do a good job and stick with it..

I need to start looking for a car. My daughter is going to go with me next week to see what's out there..The weather is supposed to warm up and that should make the search much easier..

Please say a prayer for Benita..She cleans one of the restaurants..She is the best worker. So dependable and trustworthy..She also works a full time job..She is in the hospital. At first, they thought she had a stroke.
Now, they aren't so sure. Her daughter called me and she does have a blockage in one of her arteries, but they don't think this is what is causing the stroke like symptoms..
Benita is only 54 years old..and it's scary to think someone so young can be having such major issues..
All prayers are appreciated..

Today I get to pick up Mason...I haven't seen him since Christmas..I have tried a few times to get him but for one reason or another it hasn't worked out..So, I'm certainly looking forward to spending the time with him..I don't know if he'll be interested, but I thought it would be nice to spend some time out in the snow..maybe we'll make a snowman:)

That's about it for me..It's time to get my coffee have done that before I got on the computer..

Sending out prayers and well wishes to all of the people affected by the horrible tornado's in the south..
